Smooth Commerce participated in this year’s Restaurants Canada Show from March 1st to 3rd at the Enercare Centre in Toronto, Ontario. As a Restaurants Canada official partner, we were featured in their Partner booth at the entrance of the Show and in our own booth in the Technology pavilion.

At both of our booths, our team gave demos of our end-to-end mobile app and tablet solution, featuring the Balzac’s Coffee Roasters app. The demo included placing an order for pickup, earning loyalty points, browsing the menu and paying for the order.
Technology is becoming more and more important for restaurants to implement into their operations. We highlighted that our mobile app and web ordering solution are great for restaurants to provide their customers with branded digital ordering channels.
The Show featured several pavilions, from Eco to Bar and Beverage. Speaking stages were also placed throughout the Show floor, such as the Learning Lounge and Culinary stage. The speakers and panels each touched on new trends and informative topics like “How To Reach Today’s Changing Demographics” and “Exploring New Profit Avenues.” During the awards ceremony at the end of day three, Balzac’s Coffee Roaster won Leaf Canada’s “Greenest Café Award.”
Food and beverage experiences also spanned the Show floor. At the Pop Up Resto and Bar and Food Truck’N Experience, attendees and exhibitors could sample food and drinks from different chefs and vendors. No attendee left this event hungry!
